Absolute chaos!

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay in adding another post but our little house is upside down at the moment and I'm struggling to get much done...and it's all down to one little mischief-maker...our new arrival...our rescue dog, Mitch! He finally arrived last Wednesday evening all the way from Zakynthos and has barely stopped barking since - I've never heard a dog make so much noise and I'm therefore planning on visiting the neighbours soon with chocolates and apologies!

He is absolutely adorable though and it is wonderful to see our black lab Jet playing with him, and Mitch is settling in more each day. Last night we finally had a couple of hours were they were both just snoozing on the settees, while we watched TV and relaxed a little, and we could almost forgive Mitch for chewing all of the furniture and scraping the paint off all of the downstairs doors. He does have quite severe separation anxiety so we are unable to leave him at all at the moment, and there have been times that I have been typing with one hand whilst stroking him with the other, while he is sat on my lap chewing on my clothes!

I am attempting to put up some Halloween decorations today before the children come home from school, but am making very slow progress. In the circumstances, I reckon Bonfire Night will be a very quiet affair this year and we will have to watch the fireworks out of the windows...at least we will be nice and warm.

I am still hoping to publish the sequel to 'I Called Him David' prior to Christmas, which means I am writing at odd times of the day and night and drinking more coffee than I should! I am about two-thirds the way through my first rough draft and it's coming along well. You will be the first to know when it's finished!
