Book Number 4!!

Hi everyone,

Hope everybody is well and Covid-free? There seems no end in sight at the moment and I think even the most hardy of us are praying for a vaccine and a return to life as we knew it, before we all lose our heads!

Well, as the title reads, I am currently working on book number 4! That's not to say book number 3 has been shelved...because it most certainly hasn't. I finally finished my Greek adventure and it has now been submitted for a national competition, which means that it can't yet see the light of day - until short-listers are decided and rejections are served! It is primarily a summer read, which means, whatever the outcome of the competition, I think it will be sensible to hold it back until at least next spring.

In the meantime, I have written a couple of short stories which have been submitted to magazines (one day I will see my name in print, if it kills me!) and embarked on a completely different journey with book 4. It is in the same genre and will still hopefully make you laugh and cry in equal measures...but there's no holidaying in Cornwall or Greece in this one! Let's just say, it has a band, an idol, and a love that almost tears the main character apart. The spark of an idea came to me after reminiscing about my days following a certain group around the country and lusting after one of them,, but that's where any similarities end - this story is purely fiction! Anyway, I'm only about 6,000 words into the story as yet, in its most basic form, so I've a while to go...but it's coming on. If I wasn't bogged down with kids, dogs, high school submissions, garden renovations and painting the inside of the house (whilst trying to have one huge clear out) then I might be able to pick up the pace!!

Hopefully, I will have some further news on SOMETHING very soon! It's difficult to be left in limbo, particularly in these strange current times, but I keep plodding on and hoping one day I will be able to earn a decent living from all of this!
